The last time I saw one was in 2006.
The way it holds my most precious item makes me smile.
The way it looks, standing, oh, it gives me chills!
Get your head out of the gutters folks! I am not talking about anything “50 Shades of Grey” related.
I am talking about … A COFFEE TABLE!!!
I know it sounds trivial, to be excited about a piece of wooden furniture. But you don’t understand.
For the past six years, my house has been “kid-proof” inside and out.
It’s well past time for an “adult” piece to take over my living room instead of play kitchens; play cribs; dolls; trains; cars; and other various toys.
Besides, my kids would rather play with mud outside than any of their toys.
So, back to my new LOVE – the coffee table.
My awesome husband bought it online and had it delivered to a local store. He picked it up after work.
I was so excited for him to assemble the piece, that I gave the twins a bath on my own, and dressed them by myself. (Usually, this is a dual activity because trying to corral two wet kids is a form of exercise in this household.)
I can’t wait until tomorrow morning when I can sit on my couch, put my cup of coffee on a coaster and read the newspaper.
Well, one out of three ain’t bad …
